HI everyone
My question is this. I am booked in an aft cabin deck 7 (7630) on Legend of the Seas for next June/July, doing the Classic Med cruise for 14 nights. I originally booked an oceanview but after reading on a few forums that the "aft" are the best cabins thought if I could upgrade I would and hey presto we have an aft.
Now my question is this, from some posts I have been reading about afts, sometimes soot appears on the aft balconies and sometimes not. Is there any rhyme or reason for this? Is is the ships design, the way the cabins are stagged. With LOS there are 3 decks of afts, decks 6 and 7 being Category D1 and deck 8 being top deck of accommodation,
JS.
If you were in a cabin on deck 6 as against deck 8, would you have more soot on deck 6 balcony or deck 8.
I am really confused why soot would appear and/or not be there.
I am a bit worried as I want so much to request a lounge chair for my balcony as against an upright to lay down and chill but if there is going to be a problem of soot, then maybe I should not have upgraded to this particular aft?
What do you all think please. Would love to be able to put my mind at rest.
P.S. To Tom Ogg, Tom I have printed off your amazing step by step for Rome from the ship. Thank you so much for all the time you put into this - I would think you have probably saved us hundreds with your clear, concise and information reports.
Many thanks
