Jewel of the Seas or Norwegian Spirit

Hi everybody,
We want to cruise in April 2009 and don't know which ship, Jewel of the Seas (Panama 10 days)or Norwegian Spirit (Caribbean 12 days), is best for travelling with a 5 year old kid.
It seems that the kids pool area on the Spirit is especially for the little little ones...
Any experiences??

I've never been on the Spirit, but I loved the Jewel of the Seas. I know it has a great water slide for the kids.
