Docking in Charlotte Amalie-where is the ferry

We want to get to trunk bay. My ship is docking in C/A. Some people have said to go from Red Hook, to take the bus not the taxi, but have heard the bus makes a lot of stops. Can anyone tell me where the ferry is in C/A from where the ship docks? Sailing April 17th on Explorer.

Hello Cheryl Ann, welcome to Cruise-Chat! Here is a picture I took looking toward Charolette Amalie from the ship. You can take a taxi or bus, it's about a half hour walk if you feel up to it.

The Charolette Amalie area is not easy to find. There is a poster on the side of a small building where the ferry will dock. In Red Hook, it is easy to find where to go and purchase tickets and board the ferry. You can ask in town and they'll point it out. The ferry schedule is not as precise as Red Hook.
