I'm cruising on Liberty on May 9th. I was reading on the "Onboard Experience" that there are theme nights and/or parties on each ship. How do people dress up and participate if they don't know what these nights are specifically? How do they pack accordingly? I noticed that many of the themes are specific enough to where prior knowledge and packing would be necessary in order to REALLY participate. How does this work?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

My recollection is any theme nights were in keeping with the suggested dress for that night and most passengers don't go crazy trying to dress the part. At most having a tropical Hawaii shirt or two is all you need. It was along the lines of a Caribbean Island night and a Mexican night, with appropriate buffets set up by the pools. It isn't an every night thing. It is more about pushing bar sales with specials on Corona beer and margaritas for the Mexican night, and rum concoctions on the Caribbean night.

ok that definitely seems more realistic. I was just reading about "80s night, Elvis night, disco night, toga party," etc.

Thanks though for the help!
