Formal Nights Alaska 8/1

Our cruise to Alaska begins Friday, 8/1, What nights will be formal Also, how many of the men wear a tux? A rough estimate is appreciated. Could my husband wear the "summer uniform" of a navy jacket and khakis or does he need a suit? Do the women wear long or short?

Don't worry about a tuxedo. A military uniform is always fine. A jacket and khaki pants is fine. I've given up on wearing a tux and now use suits or sport coats.

Same goes for the ladies. Short or long is fine. They are not very tight about formal wear, other than people not showing up in t-shirts and shorts.
