I'm beginning to research next year's cruise and am wondering when the Monarch was refurbished. I was on her in March 2005 and was not impressed with her condition. Did she receive her cosmetic surgery before or after March 2005?

My resources show she hasn't been reburbished since 2003.

GC you better find another lady to sail! Doesn't look good for old Monarch.

Unfortunately, the majority of Mexican cruises after April are on the Monarch. The Vision of the Seas sails the Riviera up through April, but not thereafter. I may have to go outside my RCCL comfort zone and try another cruise line.

I have NCL squarely in my rear view mirror and it was fine but having cruised RCI and Celebrity I have my gaze fixed on Princess. (Penny and f-mattox have had their influence on me.)

I will still cruise RCI and Celebrity but I have to round out my experiences. Look out HAL and Costa!
