Wheelchair accessible rooms

Hi.

We are booking a trip in the near future on RC Grandeur of the Seas. Our travel agent has found us a balcony stateroom that she says is larger than most - it is a wheelchair accessible stateroom with balcony. Has anyone stayed in a wheelchair accessible room that didn't need one. I am curious about the differences and if they are significant. I might find the layout and ammenities more of an annoyance since I am not in need of this.

I don't think you will find this annoying. Wider doors and no lips to step over.

Welcome to cruise-chat honeypot. As far as the wheelchair accessible room, please check with your TA to make sure that once you book this cabin that you will not be bumped. A lot of the cruiselines will book non handicapped people into the accessible cabins, but when they find that they need it they will bump you to another cabin, which could be a good thing, you will get no less than what you paid for, and could get a good upgrade.
