Internet on EOS

I will be cruising on the Explorer of the Seas in a few weeks and wondered what the best method of gaining internet access would be. I know that they have a computer area but if I were to bring my own laptop, is there WiFi offered on the ship or hookups in the rooms? If so, what is the cheapest method or are they all the priced the same? I could bring my laptop but don't want to find out it would only be useful as a paper weight. I'm assuming that since the EOS is not a newer ship, it may not have updated online access? Thanks for any guidance!

Fantastic Dave! Thanks so much. I actually want to be disconnected from the rest of the world on this trip however my husband and I get paid bi-weekly which will occur smack dab in the middle of the cruise and will be too soon to set up my bill paying (with certainty) before we leave for that pay period!

One thing you need to know - shipboard internet can be very slow, or even non-functional at times. RCI doesn't have internet managers. You sign up yourself once aboard, and if there is a problem you have to hope the person on duty at the guest relations desk can help.

To use the wi-fi you need to first sign up for an account at the internet cafe using the ship's desktops. Once this is done you can use your laptop. There will be information sheets about the process available - probably one in your cabin when you arrive.
