So what you are saying is there just isn't anything special about being a past cruiser on RCI anymore. Any one looking for ways at driving away your loyal customers can learn alot from RCI right now. I'm glad I didn't go crazy trying to get the cruise point to become diamond.
What they gloss over quickly is the fact that there is no more dry cleaning service--for Elite, or anybody else. Now I don't know about you, but I'm not about to send my formal wear to the laundry.
Hey Rick, They didn't eliminate the cleaning service, they just changed it to a more environmental friendly type of cleaning. They just don't call it "dry cleaning".
This was a confusion brought about by the answers that many of the cabin stewards were giving out when asked if there was dry cleaning & they would say NO without saying that there was a replacement cleaning service.
btw- We were only 2 cruises away from Diamond & my wife was pushing me to take two more but now....forget about it. I'll be sticking with Princess.
Dave, I hope a letter goes off to RCCL to let them know that you'll be cruising a lot more in the near future...but not with them.
It will. I think a "real" letter with paper and stamps and envelope means more than an e-mail. E-mails can be deleted before they reach the big shots. Letters clog up mail rooms and get attention.
It is ironic that I got annoyed with RCI in 1997 after a bad cruise and chose to not cruise with them for several years. That 1997 cruise was on the Grandeur. And now my next cruise with RCI is on the Grandeur, and it perhaps will be the last cruise we do with RCI for a while. Alpha and Omega.
