My wife and I booked a cruise last year when we were onboard Brilliance and we received $200 onboard credit as well as 2 $100 on board credit vouchers that could be redeemed by any relatives or friends that booked a cruise on any Royal Caribbean cruise within 12 months. My parents and sister/brother in law decided to book themselves on to the same cruise as us and gave gave the vouchers to our Travel agent. The travel agent sent them to Royal Caribbean, but now Royal caribbean deny receiving the vouchers and claim that there was never any vouchers offered onboard any of its ships. I am hoping that someone else will remember receiving vouchers like these and save me from thinking that I am going mad.

I remember some such promotion going on, but it doesn't really matter if someone remembers the promotion. What matters is that your travel agent is able to get this straightened out with the cruise line. Did the agent make copies of the vouchers before sending them in? Does the agent know to which department s/he sent them?

If the agent doesn't have copies, my suggestion would be for the agent to get in touch with her "inside sales rep" to discuss the problem. The Sales Dept should have a record of the various onboard promotions that went on last year.

Thanks for the reply Sandy.

It looks like our TA sent them to their Royal Caribbean rep and it was them that lost the vouchers. Our TA never kept a copy and Royal Caribbean wont budge on the issue. As far as they are concerned there never was any offers of vouchers made with onboard bookings.
