requesting same wait staff

just curious is it possible to request to be placed at a table with same wait staff if going on another cruise on the same ship?

was on my first cruise and really enjoyed the ship and crew. especially the dinner seating wait staff.

I would have whoever you booked the cruise with put that in as a request. I assume you know their names, and that they are still on the ship. When the Maitre'D assigns the table roster he can take it into consideration along with all the other requests and see if he can accommodate yours.

thankyou for the imput. that's a great idea having the travel agent check into that. i think i just want to capture the same atmosphere of my first experience. but i really did like them, especially victor.

how often do you go on cruises?? just curious.
especially since this was my first and in the past would have never tried one before.

Our dining room staff on the Holiday last week was efficient but not especially likeable. Part of the problem was a conflict one of our tablemates had over some comment the assistant waiter made, which I think was taken out of context. Anyway, this caused quite a stir and our table was visited by the hostess and maitre'd - which sort of branded our whole table, even though we were innocent observers. I hate needless "scenes", especially when I was having a fine time!

We actually had a better time with a couple of wiseguy waiters who served us breakfast on two mornings - at open seating. They were funny and very good.

To answer Cherbear: as often as I can!! 4,5,6, times a year is about what I like.

The trick is finding a flexible job that also pays really well.

Too bad, Dave. It's tough when you have someone who might take things a little too seriously and muck up the fun for the rest of the fun lovers. To paraphrase the venerable Cheffy and his sage observation, those who take themselves too seriously miss a lot of the fun in life.
