I presume there are pool towels on the ship but can anyone confirm if they're available for taking ashore also?

Do I need to pack my hairdryer or is there one in the cabin?

Towels are provided by your cabin attendant. They have a station on the pool deck where you can exchange your towel for a fresh one. You are allowed to take your pool towels ashore with you.

Cabins have hair dryers, although they are not especially powerful. Many bring their own.

thanks for your comments Dave. Just realised who you are - I've read your review of the Freedom and you may be able to help with a query we have. We've booked our own trip, complete with hotel the night before sailing, hire car and hotel afterwards etc. You said in your review that some people disembarked at 6.30am with their luggage and avoided the problems with the organised colour coding system. I imagine that we will fit into the former category, but do you know if we HAVE to disembark at 6.30am or can we stay a little longer....it seems awfully early?
thanks Dave, Julie White

Julie, you can stay on the ship until the last color is called. We stay on til about 9:30 when we have a later flight. We always have breakfast in the dinning room and then go to a lounge area.
