hi everyone. i'm thinking about a cruise for me and my hubby (our 1st one!) and i have lots of concerns. #1 being the dreaded hurricane season, which we will be in the midst of in september. should i really be concerned? thanks for any advise. many more questions to follow...soon. thanks, Clo

I see no need to worry. Cruise ships have the latest eletronics and communications available, and captains know well in advance where a storm is headed, and will take corrective action, i.e., staying in another port longer, etc. Plus, ships are built nowadays to be virtually unsinkable.

Clo - Our next cruise is on September 2nd sailing out of Baltimore to Cozumel and back on the Grandeur of the Seas. We're not at all concerned. If anything, I would love to get a couple of extra sea days like some of the ships did last fall.:-)
