We were just aboard the Jewel this past September for a Western Europe cruise which included a stop in Oslo. The Jewel is a beautiful ship and you will love her! We did not do the cruise tour because IMO RC charges way too much. We spent 2 days in London pre cruise and 1 day post cruise and did it on our own. London is a great city and is very easy to get around by subway (the Underground or "Tube"). If you have never been there I would reccomend the Hop on/Hop off double decker busses as they provide great commentary on the city. As far as the weather in Norway. at least for mid September it was quite nice, sunny and in the mid 60's. There were a lot of shore excursions available for Oslo, Vigeland sculpture park was awesome as well as a trip to the Homenkollen ski jump. The view from the ski jump into the Oslo fjord was breathtaking! As far as the rest of Norway I can't say but would assume the same would be true.
