Jamaica's Dunns River Falls thru RCCL

We are booked to do the Dunns River Falls and Dolphin Encounter thru RCCL. Is it smarter to invest in aqua shoes for the falls, or rent @ the falls? We probably would not use the shoes otherwise.

The shoes for renting are not good. You can buy one very cheap and use them along your cruise.They will come in handy.

If you are CERTAIN that the falls is the only place you would use the Aqua socks, then renting at the falls is probably the way to go. However, before you do, consider that they are great for other things as well- walking on the beach/in the water. Going on the sting ray encounter, just going to and from the ship to the excursions. (Wear the socks to walk in and you don't have to worry about shoes... if the socks get wet.. no problem.)

Buy a cheap pair at Wal-Mart, they probably will cost you the same as renting them and then you can use them through the whole cruise.

They will come in handy in Labadee. The ocean is rough but this is one of the best stops you will ever make. It is awesome.

The aqua shoes are fantastic, in most cases can replace tennis shoes. They're great on board as well as off ship. If you're ever planning on cruising again, it's a great investment. Enjoy your cruise!

Yes, I agrre totally, the shoes are a must!! and yes you will use them again, the fall are much better negociated with decent shoes to grip. You will enjoy, it is a lot of fun

You really should bring your own water shoes. I purchased mine at Walmart for less than $10. You will need them for Labadee, there are many tiny rock along the beach and in the water. You will also need them for Dunns river falls. You will be glad you briought them.

Water shoes are the way to go. Don't use an old pair of sneakers like I did my first time. You'll have a hard time keeping the small pebbles out. At least with the water shoes you can slip them off & back on quick.
