Lunch - Meals To Go

Has anyone went to the restaurants and taken sandwiches for lunch when going off the ship sightseeing or an excursion? OR is it better to orderroom service then take it to go? I am planning on bringing ziploc bags to put stuff in. In case we want to bring something along. Good way to save a little money rather than buying lunch off the ship.

We also take along zip lock bags for our lunches as my wife always has to have something to eat. We always fine something to make sandwiches with at the morning buffet & also take along some boxes of cereal for a snack. You can have room service bring you a sandwich but it's never prepared the way we want it.
