When you purchase chips on your seapass, you are creating another account just for your casino activity. If you run out of money on it, you can purchase/transfer more from your onboard account. At the end of the cruise, you cash in your casino account in the casino. If this is not correct, someone please advise.

There can be a fee but most cruiselines waive the fee to promote using the system.

I BELIEVE that it goes like this-you use your sea pass card to OBTAIN cash for the casino, from the casino teller. IF AND WHEN you win, you are given chips, which you can cash in at the teller for actual CASH. I don't believe that the teller can credit your sea pass account in the casino. At the end of the cruise, you can then USE that cash to pay off your sea pass account and keep the winnings, (Assuming that you don't play more and LOOSE like the rest of us). Have fun!!!

thank you both for trying. i have actually tried 3 different cust service numbers with no answer. i am now waiting for the casino mgr to contact me. the question has now been simplified. assuming the play is done with chips. how do you pay for them and how do you cash them in. 7 people from rccl have yet to be able to answer . an embarrasment.

??? Just like any other casino - you can get chips at the table or the window and then you cash out at the window.

BUt, if you are lucky enough to win some money, while you can't credit you Seapass account in the casino, you can take your winnings to the pursers desk and apply it to your account there. That's what I do. That way I'm not so tempted just to blow the winnings the next night. I set aside an amount to play with each day. I stop if I loose that amount, if I am ahead, I drop it on my account.

In all Carnival Ships, you can obtain chips/credits right at the slot machine using your onboard card, which creates the "casino account." I know the question was directed for RCCL ships which I am told have the same slot machine features. Like everyone else said, for table games just go to the window and get and exchange your chips.

If you are using slot machines, using the card really is easy and quicker than having to handle all those coins.

Wow Jim, you are soooo disciplined Actually, I've used almost the same system myself. When I walk into the casino, the money I've allocated for the night automatically belongs to them. That way I don't stress if/when I lose ('cause it's already their money). At the end of the night, I cash out my winnings (if any) for the next day and put it in the room safe - that way I don't reach in "my own pocket" to play the next day since I'm (really) using their money! However, I still set a daily limit.

Actually.. to be honest, its the wife that is disciplined. She learned very quickly to check the safe for a chip stack and if there is one, she either confinscates it or takes some of my gambling cash to go put onto the account. Of course.. shes spending it on the sign n sail card as fast as its going on.. (Don't tell her I said that.)

But you have to do something like that or you can get into real trouble quickly
