Ok, lets see if we can round up any pictures, information or any other tidbits to whet our appetite on Genesis. We are thinking of booking a cruise on the Genesis when it opens for reservations. From what we can gather though, even though it is going to be huge, the passenger ratio will be even less than the Freedom class. I guess I said that right in using less, in other words, more people and less room. I am wondering what, if anything, some of the rest of you may be hearing or seeing. I know this ship is nearly two years away, but I would love to know more about it now.

I was reading this website the other day from Aker Yards where it's being build. You might find it interesting. I will probably never sail on it, but I am extremely anxious just to see the floor plans of it. I can't believe a ship bigger than the Freedom.

Thanks Linda and Wes, that is good reading too. You said you probably won't go on it, is there a reason? Do you like the smaller ships better? I think we do except for the huge variety of stuff to do for our daughter. As our daughter gets older we may go to the smaller size vessel again, who knows. There is one thing for sure though, all 3 of us love cruising!!

Well I guess I should never say never! We were just so happy with the Freedom, so we decided to try Liberty next. If the price is right and we have the oppurtunity who know??? Our son was 4 on our first cruise. By next cruise he will be almost 6. So I know he will get so much more out of this next cruise, really we all will since we know what to expect now. Are you all going to book another cruise for this year?

The pictures on that link you sent, I can read the words "Seas" but I cant read what is before it on the ship. Is it going to be "Genesis of the Seas" or what?

Also I read this about Genesis somewhere:

The ship is projected to have new features, rumored to be the addition of a bowling alley complex, an outdoor trapeze area, a billiards lounge similar to those found on the Radiance Class Ships, a larger dining room, and a much longer Royal Promenade shopping and recreation area. Much larger staterooms and balcony areas are reported to be on the ship, as well as a much larger variety of dining, bar, and lounge options. Also, it is expected to have a "Central Park" area at the rear of the ship with real trees and other foliage.

Wesnlin, the other ship you see is the Independance of the Seas.

Yep, like Sonny said, the other ship nearly complete is Independence, sister to Freedom and Liberty. The big section in the forefront is a keel section of the Genesis.

Nope, we don't have another cruise booked yet, but our daughter loved it and we will probably go again in '09. Unless a killer deal springs up that is!! What kills us is the school part. With one in school and my wife being a teacher, that really limits us.
