Actually, I like nice cold Pabst too. Good beer for a good price. Reminds me of the fine old corner bar from my youth. Sadly, it isn't offered on any cruise line to my knowledge.
Here is a bar menu from a year ago on an RCCL ship: RCCL Beer
Just came off the Fascination and I have their drink menu. The other cruise lines might not be exact but in the ballpark to give you an idea.
Domestic Beers 120z Coors Light $3.50

Buckets of beer (4 to a bucket)give you a slight break. Sorry don't see Pabst's on the list.
Actually the beer in Nassau was not expensive. I order Kalik, which is a Bahamian Beer, and I dont remember it being high. I would get it over anything else while on the island. As I always said, when in Greece, drink what the Greeks drink, and when in Nassau, drink Kalik. You wont be sorry.
By the way, stick a lime slice in it...
If one wants an expensive beer in Nassau, just order one at a bar at Atlantis according to a friend of mine. I've never been there, but he said they charged $7 or so.
oh yeah the Kalik is the way to go...its around $2.00 bottle, depending on where you purchase it. Great beer. We always try the local beer in the ports we stop at.
As long as we're on the topic of beer, I've heard that it's not so easy to find a drink in Grand Cayman. What's the scoop on availability and typical price for a beer or cocktail there?
