newbie to RCCL and port of miami

greetings...
our first cruise out of port of Miami, on Nav of the seas 7 nt eastern carib. 3/25.. a few questions... should we park at the port, or off site parking.. Is off site parking a bad idea?
Is it better to be in the front or back of the ship, we're on deck 7 in the back...
any thoughts on shore trips, we like to do own own thing...

any other tips you can share would be appreciated regarding this adventure.

Welcome to cruise-chat! The Miami port parking is so convenient and reasonable, that's your best bet. Unless you have a pre-cruise hotel stay that offers free parking.

As for location of your cabin, generally the rear of the ship is better than all of the way forward. You will be fine on deck 7 rear on the Navigator.
