Set Sail Pass

Leaving on Monday on the Monarch and just finished my online check-in. I have one question regarding the Set Sail Pass that I printed. It is asking if I want my credit card charged in the currency of the ship. My ship is leaving from Los Angeles, does that make the currency of the ship US dollars? Or is there some other criteria? Thanks.

Yes, the currency of all RCI ships is the US dollar regardless of where they sail. The reason they ask the question is because of passengers from other countries. This has been a real issue with Canadians who seem to get a bad deal with conversions on RCI.

You only need to fill out one Set Sail Pass per state room, correct?

Yes, the set sail pass and your passport is all you'll need at the pier.

Yes, one per stateroom. Double check to make sure all your docs are in order before leaving home. They will give you one more paper to fill out at the dock and that is the health questionaire

I agree about bad conversions. We just left Radiance of the sea and got hit with a big conversiong difference, they don't seem to know where the Canadian dollar is! Next time we will let the credit card company do it.
