Hey I got an idea which may be a bit more expensive but well worth it. I live in Orlando and I'd be perfectly willing to give you a lift. All you need to do is bring me with you and put me up in a suite. If you're budget won't permit, I'll settle for a balcony room, unobstructed view preferred. I know what you're thinking, it's really to much to ask, but I'm a very giving person, so please don't be shy and do feel free to take me up on that offer!

OK...looking to book the next cruise, and I don't want to be a fuddy duddy, but this hour and half from airport to ship port just seems such a hassle. Sonny of course, just spent under $100 and rented a car and priceline room. Is this port really nice, the cruises are not any cheaper than leaving from some other ports MUCH closer to the airports....what is the skinny travel experts ??? I would always arrive a day before.....

Actually I've never had to spend 1.5 hours to drive from MCO to Port Canaveral. It is closer to an hour or even a little less depending on traffic. It really isn't a hassle, it goes by very quickly.

It is 42 miles. Not too bad. I figure people are adding the wait time on a cruise ship bus to the total time, but I always get a shuttle or limo service. It is good for us to use Canaveral because we can get a direct flight from Huntsville to Orlando and not experience the joys of going through ATL!

We have used two car services in the past, Tiffany Limo and Happy Limo. They were both great! They picked us up in a town car, we were three people. I was leary also, I had my two boys with me, but I felt safe and secure. Hope this helps.

Happy screwed me in 2004 when they overbooked and never showed up because they were behind schedule. When I called them it was "oh well, you better grab a taxi because it'll be at least another hour". I haven't used them since. This was a shame because prior to that episode they were always good.

FYI to Sonny V. We have taken Executive Shuttle to MCO many times, don't know where you got your info from.

Thanks Dave.....yeah, some vendors teach us how they feel about customer service. So, I still considering Celebrity and RCI out Pt Canaveral, just will adjust flight times to allow for transportation along the Bee-Line.
One more question how are the terminals there ?

Sonny has almost 50 cruises, and doesn't need me to defend him. We all have had different experiences with different vendors(shuttles), what can we expect to pay for Executive, tried their website, no listed fares ????
