Things to do in Key West?

The yacht race excursion is fun. The shopping is really touristy and everywhere. Be aware of asking for a "special design" on a t-shirt. If they make a shirt for you it can cost a bundle. Stick with those already made. Most shops are legitimate but there are some that like to rip off tourists. Of course, no trip to Key West would be complete without a pilgrimage to Margaritaville for a cheeseburger and margarita (actually very good).

The Conch Train is kind of touristy but fun and gives you a good overview of Key West. You can get an idea of where you might want to spend a little time. The Hemingway House is neat,as well as Mallory Square and the Truman Little White House. If you like to walk, you'll love Key West. Our favorite thing to do when Key West is a port on a cruise, is to go on the Fury Catamaran snorkeling trip. One of the better snorkeling trips.
