Does anyone know if it will be salt or fresh water in the pools on the Independence? What is currently used on the Freedom cruises?

The Freedom class ships have fresh water in all the pools and hot tubs, so the Indy will also be using fresh water.

I much prefer fresh water to salt water.

What about Voyager class, Dave?

Why don't they all go to fresh water?

It can be a fairly extensive modification since they'd have to change the pool fill and drain systems over from seawater suctions and tap them into the freshwater system. Lots of piping changes, etc.

I never use the ship pools when I cruise but I will like to know anyway...

If you go to the mineral spa in the gym area of the Voyager class ships, you'll find fresh water in it.
