I went to Cozumel on the Nordic Empress (Now the Empress of the Seas) a couple years ago and did the snorkling excursion (sorry, forget the specific one). While the water was beautiful and clear, (remarkably so, Cozumel has the best water I've seen anywhere) there really were no things to look at. No coral or plant life, and only a smattering of dull fish. The only thing that was in great supply were these small floating "things" that I found out later can give a mighty sting. Anyway, it was worth it for the beautiful water, but it really is not the best place to go snorkling in my opinion.
