I seen where the G/C Anchor topic was closed. I have cruise RCCL twice, and have never heard anything about this when I was cruising with them. I am planning on going on RCCL in the spring. How do I go about getting one of these coupon books? Does my cruise agent get one for me, or do I call/email RCCL, or what?
I may not use it, but I would like to have one, just in case.
You have to fill in a form, normally while being onboard. After one cruise you will be a Gold-Member, after 5 cruise-credits you will be Platinum-Member and after ten cruise-credits you bill be Diamond-Member.
Your TA has nothing to do with it, you need a form from RCCL. Maybe they can send one to you.
Since you have cruised with RCI before, you are eligible for Crown And Anchor membership. The books are distributed to C&A members, but you have to sign up first. Call them at 800-526-9723. I think you can sign up on the RCI website too, although you may have to hunt for it.
I had cruised on Majesty of the Seas several years ago under my maiden name, but not joined C&A. Before my most recent cruise, I emailed 'crownandanchor@rccl.com' with both names and the date I cruised MOS. They emailed me back with a C&A membership number.
I called the 800 number and they had my former cruise in thier comp, the agent gave me my number and noted it on our upcoming cruise so we would get our coupon book the first night.
I did hear some people having problems with getting thier books but they had a crown and anchor rep at a desk onboard to take care of oversights. like we got our coupons but had to ask for invite to welcome back cocktail party and our souvineer gift (a 5X7" picture frame). we qualified for all that with just one previous cruise...not a bad deal
yeah that would be nice, i was surprised by the reception which had over 500 return visitors, including one man in his 50's that had taken 84 previous RCCL cruises. They let us ask questions of the captain and it was fun and informative.
Thank you one and all for responding back to my question. I will try to look for the dates I cruised before I call/email RCCL. This has been helpful info.
I will say I had read some place where the "new" website of RCCL was BAD. Well I agree. I couldn't make heads or tails out of it. I finally got a toll free number to call, to get my info faster. They had an area to click on for sound, and when I did, I never heard anything. I clicked on "contact" info, and couldn't get anywhere with that also.
I'm back again. I did find the dates of the two cruises I took with RCCL, and I will try to contact them tomorrow.
I do have a question, my friend who will be with me, I don't think she has ever cruised on RCCL. If there is a get-together of the C & A members, will she be invited since she is with me on RCCL for the first time?
She won't be "invited," but can go as your guest with no problem.
