Tom, what itinerary are you on?

I'm doing only the 4 day to Cozumel and back with a high school friend who's never cruised before... Ought to be a hoot.. Done this ship 4 other times to different places.. Cruised 12 other times total. Just got back from a 7 day southern carribbean on the Destiny, out of San Juan, last month. You could say I've been there, done that. Only reason I'm doing this ship again is because I get to be cruise director with an old buddy and I'm 15 minutes to the port.

How lucky you are to live so close to the port -I envy you! If I didn't have airfare to contend with I would be on a ship every other week. I love introducing "newbies" to the world of cruising. It is such fun to see everything through their eyes - for the "first time all over again!" Make sure you give us a full report when you return.

you bet I'll give a full report when I return.. We're already talking about another cruise next year.. Maybe March. No clue what cruise line or where to go.. It's wide open as of now. I've done Nassau, Cozumel, Caymans, Ocho Rios, St Thomas, Barbados, Dominica and Aruba.. Thinking about Bermuda or Hawaii.. No interest in Alaska, it's too cold.. haha Might consider FLYING to Aruba for a week also.. I LOVED it there.. Have any suggestions?

You guys will have so much fun. We just had our nephew on a cruise with us. It was more fun enjoying the things we take for granted when someone else sees it for the first time.

I know what you mean about Alaska. I am a total "sun bunny" and as a former school teacher - never wanted to give up any of my summer sun for a trip to Alaska. Now that I can cruise to warm climes anytime I want, I'm going on my first Alaska cruise in 2 weeks.

As for suggestions as to where you might go next - I love Hawaii and Bermuda is way cool (expensive but fantastic). In fact, I will be back there for a week in September (to warm up after my Alaska trip). But, you might also consider a Mexican Riviera cruise. They are becoming quite popular and you would probably enjoy the ports.
