Established by American Classic Voyages as that company's fourth affiliate in early 2001, Delta Queen Coastal Voyages is a young company with the ambitious plan to bring back the "golden days of coastal cruising".
The line's first newbuild, Cape May Light, was to be joined by sister vessel Cape Cod Light in April, 2002, but in October, 2001 American Classic Voyages declared bankruptcy.
