Marco Polo Cruise Reviews
Originally built in the former GDR as a trans-Atlantic liner for the Soviet Union's Leningrad - Montreal service, this classic ship was acquired by Orient Lines in 1991 and completely rebuilt as a long-distance cruise liner. Marco Polo features an ice-hardened hull and is deployed on "exotic" itineraries including Antarctica.

Judy Lindley, July 7th, 1999; Baltic Sea Excerpts from Orient Lines' Website about the Marco Polo The Marco Polo, our award-winning flagship, is built like the grand ocean liners of yesteryear with broad sun decks teak promenades and Art Deco interiors accented in marble and wood. Though elegant and possessing all the indulgences you would expect of a luxury ship, she is far from stuffy. And with just 800 guests aboard, a friendly spirit of adventure prevails as she cruises to the world's most exciting ports.
