Stella Solaris Mini Review Kathryn Rooks
Age: 36 to 45 When my mother and I planned our cruise on the STELLA SOLARIS it was because of the itinerary. We read some reviews that were mixed so we were unsure as to what to expect. I can now say that this was the best cruise I have ever taken!!!!! Even though it was only the 3rd one, I had a fantastic time. First of all our cabin was wonderful, no problems there. Shower curtain could have gone around the tub better ,{floor got wet} but that is trivial. Our cabin steward {Costas} was great. Anything that we needed he made sure we had. The cruise dir. Paul was great. So funny, really seemed to love what he did. The entertainment was fabulous. Dancers were great. The dance hosts, {Bob} and {Marvin} were a lot of fun. I did'nt start out dancing because I didn't know alot of the steps. They got me out on the floor and showed me the basics. Once I did that I had a great time dancing. The lido bar was great. Waiters were very friendly. I do wish that you had more beverages available on the lido deck. Most people want more than coffee during the day. A glass of iced tea would have been nice, but that wouldn't keep me from going again! Now for the dining room. We ate every meal in the dining room, except for lunch the first day. The food was out of this world. Everynight was wonderful. Our waiter (Manolis) there were two by that name, ours was the taller, salt and pepper hair, he was great. He knew every morning what I wanted, two orange juices, coffee, also that I drank lots of water. In fact one day we sat at another table during open seating dinner, he made sure to tell our waiter {George} that I drank a lot of water. If I was unsure of what I wanted for dinner all I had to do was ask Manolis what he would suggest, I was never disappointed with my choice. There was another waiter in that area that was great too. His name was {Panos}. Both of them were very friendly and new what they were doing. We never had a problem communicating. All of the waiters that I came in contact with were wonderful. If I could remember all of the names I would praise each one. The best nights were on the formal nights. Everyone dressed up in pretty clothes and was having a great time. I would have submitted this a long time ago, but I just found the page. Whenever I get ready to plan another trip I can now say that Royal Olympic will be my first choice. My mother has already booked for the end of Nov. 21 days. She will be going with another lady that she met on our trip. If I could I would be right there with them.
