United States Lines
The world-famous brand name United States Lines was resurrected by American Classic Voyages Co. in 2000. While the company's first ship, Patriot, is a "second hand" vessel, United States Lines has two newbuilds on order at Ingalls Shipbuilding, Mississippi. Those American-built ships will never enter service with United States Lines, however, because American Classic Voyages declared bankruptcy in October, 2001, bringing an end to the Patriot's Hawaii cruises.
