Tobago is not an island with many beach areas that are open to the public. Most of the island is part of the Tobago Main Ridge Rainforest, which is the largest of its kind in the western hemisphere. If you're looking for beaches and you have a couple days available, it is a good idea to head to nearby Trinidad. However, if you're short in time, the closest beach to Tobago Port is Pigeon Point. Keep in mind this beach can get crowded during the peak tourist season. For more information, read our feature article Tobago Port Guide on CruiseReviews.com.
