Seattle Port Hotels

The Seattle Port is one of the most unique American seaports from which you can depart. Surrounded by mountains, towering trees and crisp clean air, Seattle is a far cry from the many sun-drenched and palm tree-lined ports that many cruisers are accustomed to. Steeped in beauty and culture, this is one port you may be sad to board a boat and leave. With more than 8,000 hotel rooms available within the Seattle area itself, finding Seattle cruise port hotels for your overnight stay can seem a daunting task. Here is a breakdown of the Seattle cruise terminal hotels closest to the port.

Edgewater Hotel
2411 Alaskan Way Pier67
Seattle, WA 98121

The Edgewater is located just one-tenth of a mile from the port and offers sweeping water views. In fact, this is the only waterfront hotel listing in Seattle. Things to look for at the Edgewater include restaurant Six Eleven. The outdoor patio gives you a front row seat to the life on the waterway here, and the food is exquisite. There are also upscale shops located right on the property. If you're driving in, expect to pay a premium for parking. Mandatory valet parking is required and there is a daily charge. Room rates start at $264 per night.

Ace Hotel
2423 1st Ave.
Seattle, WA 98121

For those on a more fiscally restricted hotel hunt, the budget-friendly Ace Hotel also offers a prime Seattle location near the port. Ace is just steps from all of Seattle's calling card tourist destinations, including the Space Needle and the waterfront. The property features dining rooms and bars, free Wi-Fi Internet in guest rooms and a pet-friendly environment. The real draw to this hotel (aside from price) is the green and organic feel. A standard room will have a sink, but you'll have to use a public bathroom down the hall. For your own bathroom you'll need to book a deluxe room. The hotel brags about having some of the best rates in all of Seattle, calling itself a little known secret. With just 28 rooms available, this property tends to sell out regularly, so you'll want to call early to ensure room availability. Rates start at $99 per night.

Marriott Waterfront
2100 Alaskan Way
Seattle, WA 98121

Many people only like to book rooms in nationally known chains where they have an understanding of what to expect and well reputed service. If that's you, check out the Marriott Waterfront. Just a half mile from the port, the Marriott has all the features you'll find in any one of the chain's nationwide hotels. Expect to pay between $18 and $40 per day for parking (2010) at this property. The unique draw to the Marriott is for families with kids. The "Nickelodeon Your Stay" package offers goodies, games and encounters with your child's favorite characters. Some events are even free. Rates start at $199 per night.
