The nearest airport to Galveston Port that services commercial flights is William P. Hobby Airport. The airport is conveniently located close to downtown Houston. It's about a 45 to 50 minute drive to Galveston, depending on traffic conditions. You can drive directly to Galveston from Hobby Airport by taking Interstate 45 south. George Bush Intercontinental Airport is also in the Houston area. It is about an hour and a half from Galveston. You can get to Galveston from Bush Intercontinental by taking US Highway 59 south.
