Ryndam Cruise Ship

Ryndam Cruise ship is perfect for travelers wanting to avoid a crowded holiday cruise. The 720-foot cruise ship is designed to provide more space for fewer passengers for the ultimate comfort. Majority of the staterooms have verandas providing an amazing view of the ocean. The theme of the ship is a Dutch worldwide exploration, and it features fascinating artifacts from the 17th to the 19th century.

Ryndam carried the classic and traditional features of Holland American Line ships. The features of the ship are a mixture of all the advantages of moderate sized ships with the latest technological and stylish details. One of the traditional features is the triple-deck atriums that have hanging glass sculptures. One of the more unusual pieces on board is the muzzle-loading cannon from the 17th century discovered on the floor of the North Sea.

Passengers will have a grand time aboard the elegant ship. They will be serenaded by a string quartet while having a splendid dinner at the Rotterdam Dining Room or at the two-deck Vermeer Show Lounge. The staterooms are of good size, featuring ample drawer and closet space. They also have small comfy sitting area and a spectacular view on their private balcony.

Restaurants and Bars

Passengers are offered open and assigned seating at the formal dining room. The Lido caf is one of the casual restaurants where you can eat buffet breakfast and lunch. Or you can have a reservation and pay for a cover charge at Pinnacle Grill, one of the alternative dining places. But passengers agree that every small additional charge in this amazing restaurant is worth every penny. The Terrace Grill on the poolside is also a nice place for lunch. For a nice chat over coffee and some pastries, the Explorations Cafe is the place to go. Expect a nice touch when it comes to the 24 hour room service.

Things to Do

There is no shortage of things to do while on board the Ryndam. When the night falls, there’s a lot more action going on in public areas. But the atmosphere in lounges and promenade decks is a bit subdued. The center of late night happenings is the Crow’s Nest. This amazing club offers a spectacular 270 degree views during the day, but it turns into a hip, stylish nightclub at night. There are also production shows but make sure to grab a seat early on the lower level on the balcony to avoid getting your views obstructed.

Another great night spot is the Ocean Bar, which is a great place to go after dinner for a nice conversation and late-night socializing. If the weather is good, you can have a barbecue buffet dinner on the poolside. The Culinary Arts Center on board Ryndam is also a nice place to enhance your cooking skills. It features a state of the art kitchen for an interactive gourmet cooking lessons conducted by culinary guests and the ship’s Master Chefs. For beauty and wellness, try the Greenhouse Spa and Salon which offers a facial, hot stone massage, and a steam in a thermal suite.
