Ventura was primarily built to cater to the British tastes. This 115,000 ton ship can accommodate up to 3,574 passengers in its 1,532 cabins. There are a total of 1,220 friendly and dedicated international crew attentive to passenger’s every need. The officers on board are mainly British. When all the cabins are occupied by two passengers, the crew to passenger ratio is one for every 2.5.
Ventura has a total of 1,532 cabins; a third of them (872) feature a balcony, but all are equipped with nice amenities. Only 227 of the cabins have an ocean view. But for the ultimate treat, you may want to stay at the Suite, which features a bathroom with full-sized whirlpool bath, a lounge with sofa, flat screen TV, spacious closet, refrigerator, vanity desk and even a butler service.
Things to Do
Ventura has a total of five pools that cater to all ages. There is a paddling pool for the kids and a great pool for adults situated beneath a sky dome. For the health conscious, they may want to visit the Oasis Spa, which offers a thermal suite, an endless pool, a beauty salon and a gym. Over at the sports deck, active travelers can play football, short tennis or simply take a swim at the endless pool.
For fun stage entertainment and movies, head over to the 785-seater Arena theater which features state of the art facilities and cinema. The Metropolis featuring its 20m floor to ceiling plasma wall is another great venue. An observation lounge by day, Metropolis turns into a place for cool jazz sensational cityscapes by night. For high energy, exhilarating fun, head over to the Cirque deck where a contemporary circus school will teach you bungee trampolines.
Other places to go include the Fortunes Casino, the Art Gallery on P Deck and a wide array of bars and restaurants on board.
Restaurants and Bars
Ventura has a total of three main restaurants serving for two sittings, two of which will be dedicated to ‘Freedom Dining’. The Bay Tree, on the other hand, provides conventional allocated seating. Other great alternative dining place includes an Italian restaurant, a casual family and Pacific Rim, a Food Court, Tapas, and Pizzeria restaurants. Probably the coolest bar at sea is the Metropolis Bar located at the Sky Deck. The White Room over at the sports deck also serves fine dining. All the restaurants are non smoking and a small tip a day is allowed for restaurant and cabin staff.
