Norwegian Dawn Cruise Ship

People who want to experience freestyle cruising towards some of the most exciting destinations in the world, such as the Caribbean and Florida, should consider a cruise on board Norwegian Dawn Cruise Ship. Originally launched in December of 2002, the ship boasts a wide variety of restaurants, Las Vegas style entertainments, and a full-service spa.

One of Norwegian Dawn's main attractions is the sunlight-filled atrium near the outdoor promenade. Adjacent to the spa lobby is a smaller atrium adorned with a nice waterfall. The 971 feet long, 91,000 ton vessel can accommodate up to 2,240 passengers. The ship has a total of 1,100 crew members trained to be attentive to your every cruising need. The 11-decked ship has a cruising speed of up to 25 knots.

There are 12 restaurants on board Norwegian Dawn serving a wide variety of cuisines, such as French, Italian, Mexican and even Asian dishes. The ship's two main restaurants are the Italian style Venetian, and the Aqua which is operated entirely by females. Dining hours in the evening usually starts at 5:30 and you can book one day in advance.

The ship's staterooms are equipped with a twin sized bed that also folds as a couch. For mini suites, the couch opens up as double sized bed. The bathrooms include a shower with bathtubs (for mini suites) and are adorned with a sliding glass door. Staterooms also feature a small sitting area complete with table, sofa and chair. Some of the amenities include a small refrigerator, personal safe, a hair dryer, television, tea/coffeemaker and a broadband Internet connection for laptops. The cabin's décor is mostly tropical, and Cherrywood is used in cabinetry. 24 of the staterooms are wheelchair accessible.

The Grand Atrium's dome ceiling made of glass is the hub of the ship where you will find several counters such as the reception and shore excursions reservation center. Also located at the heart of the ship is the Java Café as well as a nice glassware boutique. Day time recreation on board the ship is endless. For a total relaxation, guests may want to visit the El Dorado Spa and Beauty Center, which features state of the art fitness equipment and yoga, Pilates and aerobics classes.

Over at the main pool area, guests can take a dip either at the plunge pool, the regular pool, or at the two whirlpools. The Grand Atrium is also one of the main concentrations of activities where you can find a glassware boutique and the crowd-drawer Java Café. Beyond the boutique is the main shopping area where guests can shop for jewelry, cosmetics and perfumes. The Dawn Club Casino is the place to go if you want to try your luck with the usual slot machines and card games.
