Norwegian Jewel Cruise Ship

The Norwegian Jewel Cruise Ship is one of the newest ships under the Norwegian Cruise line and is the first ship of the Norwegian Cruise Line in the post-Norwegian Dawn generation. Debuted in April 2005, the cruise ship continues to awe its capacity of 2,400 passengers with its freestyle concept and exciting fresh features.

Norwegian Jewel sails across Europe, the Caribbean and Panama Canal. In winter, it offers a seven-night Western Caribbean itinerary and another seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise, plus a twelve-night Mediterranean cruise. It takes guests for a journey across Europe during the summer; making twelve-night Baltic cruises. With freestyle cruising, passengers can have freedom and flexibility in terms of dining, attire and gratuities.

The choices of food and cuisine onboard the ship are bountiful; considering that there are 12 different restaurants and most of them are open twenty-four hours. The two main restaurants, Tsar Palace and Azura, offer traditional cuisine and do not require any reservation. Other dining establishments include the following:

  • Cagney’s Steakhouse
  • Le Bistro
  • Chin Chin
  • Tango’s Tapas
  • Mama’s Italian Restaurant

Guests can also check out other equally exciting restaurants offering grilled food, buffet and 24-hour food court.

Entertainment and Nightlife

The onboard stay of guests is even made more exciting with the addition of entertainment facilities, such as the Casino at Sea and the Jewel Club Casino. Conversations are made more engaging with drinks at the Shakers Martini and Cocktail Bar and at the FYZZ Cabaret Longue and Bar. Other venues that are great for rendezvous are the Spinnaker Longue and the Java Café including a disco and nightclub for the partygoers.

The ship has a total of 1188 spacious staterooms and cabins filled with various features to suit to passengers’ needs. Cabins have been equipped with hairdryers, telephones, televisions, refrigerators, tea and coffee makers, a twenty-four hour room service and even a youth program. The ship also introduces the Courtyard Villas which are ten large state-of-the-art suites. These accommodations provide perfect views of the ocean from the balconies.

Passengers have a large choice of activities from which to choose; no need to be idyll (unless that is your choice). The recreational amenities of the ship are as follows:

  • Movie house
  • Card room
  • Arcade
  • Health spa
  • Fitness center
  • Thermal suites
  • Jogging track
  • Sports court
