Sun Princess Cruise Ship

Owned by the Princess Cruise line, the Sun Princess entered into the cruise ship industry in December 1995. The Sun Princess ship leads the group of Sun Cruises, together with Dawn Princess, Sea Princess and Ocean Princess. It was also chosen as the setting of a movie, "The Love Boat: The Next Wave". It has 10 passenger desks and can accommodate 1,950 passengers, with a crew count of 900 personnel. Now permanently based in Australia, the Sun Princess cruise takes passengers to Fremantle, Malacca Straits, Melbourne, New Zealand, Sydney, Japan, and South Pacific.

Highlights

The Sun Princess ship strikes a balance between grand-class services and a small-ship atmosphere. Neutrals and pastels are the dominant hues in the interior of the Sun Princess cruise ship that would not be heavy to the sight of the passengers. Their atrium has four stories with a circular floor made of marble, a dome made of stained glass, and a floating staircase. The Sun Princess also has a casino which is isolated from other rooms and facilities in the cruise ship so as not to disturb other passengers.

Cuisine

For their two dining halls, you can join their traditional assigned seating arrangements. Personal Choice cruisers can also use the open seating dining room available. You can also dine in at the complimentary Pizzeria or at the Sterling Steakhouse specialty restaurant that requires reservations. While taking a cruise on the Sun Princess ship, you should not miss the soufflés and the chocolate with a warm berry sauce.  The patisserie also offers specialty coffees and fresh delectable parties. You can also go to the wine and caviar bar and enjoy their elegant wines and delectable caviar snacks. Indulge in traditional Italian dishes and enjoy the trattoria-style ambience.

Entertainment and Nightlife

After dinner, you can enjoy the rest of the evening at the Rendez-Vous Lounge. Children's programs are also organized for the young passengers.

Cabins

Their staterooms have private balconies and sitting areas; even for the least expensive rooms. For the suites, two television sets, double-sink vanities, separate shower, and whirlpool tubs are provided. Other room amenities included are personal safe, refrigerator, hair dryer, bathrobes, shampoo, lotion and bath gel.

Interconnecting interior doors are not present in any of the staterooms. Unlocking doors in the balcony dividers serve as the interconnection between the adjacent cabins having balconies. Wheelchair accessibility is also integrated into the staterooms.

Recreation

Original artwork is also displayed for art auctions. If you are craving for solitude, you may stay in the wooding panel room that has oversized chairs facing its own window cubicles.

Taking the Kids

If you are bringing your kids, they will also share in their own enjoyment that a Sun Princess cruise can give. They can participate in children's programs designed for kids 3 to 17 years old. They can also go to the computer room or spend time reading books, magazines and newspapers at the Library. However, kids aged 6 months and below are not allowed to be admitted to the Sun Princess cruise ship.

Onboard Fees

The onboard fees include free and unlimited passes to the facilities in the cruise ship. Special requests such as drinks and excursions can be accommodated by the staff at additional cost.
