Freedom of the Seas Cruise Ship

The Freedom of the Seas cruise ship, owned by Royal Caribbean International, accommodates over 3,600 guests. The innovative ship, built in 2006, is the largest Royal Caribbean. Cuisine

On your vacation on the Freedom of the Seas ship, you will enjoy a wide variety of food options. This ship features a 3-level dining room with an exquisite entrance adorn with a grand staircase and a domed ceiling.

The Portofino serves upscale, delicious Italian dishes. For burgers and fries, try Johnny Rockets; here, you’ll feel like it is 1950 once again. The Windjammer Café offers casual dining with buffet-style breakfasts and lunches.

Entertainment & Nightlife

The ship has a number of sources of entertainment and nightlife for its guests. There are several bars including a champagne bar, a nautical themed bar and an English-themed bar. There is also a teen-only dance club and an arcade.

Furthermore, the Freedom of the Seas has a large casino featuring Roulette, Craps, Black Jack and Poker tables and slot machines. Additionally, the ship offers its pools to all ages, as well as a rock climbing wall, golf simulator, inline skating rink and the ice-skating rink.

Cabins

The Freedom of the Seas cruise ship has Suite, Balcony, Oceanview and Interior staterooms. Suites have their own balconies and sitting rooms. All rooms have their own bathrooms and showers, hairdryers, mini bars, vanity areas and TVs. In addition, smoking is not allowed in these staterooms.

Recreation

There are swimming pools for adults, children and for the disabled. The ShipShape Spa and Fitness Center also has everything you would find in a gym, with a sauna and a steam room. You can get a massage or a facial at the spa. This ship features the FlowRider Surf Park, where you can surf onboard the ship.

Onboard Fees

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines recommends that guests use a $10 per person per day rate when calculating gratuities to be paid. If you are in a suite, the $12 per person per day rate should be used.  Additionally, guests should expect to pay a 15% restaurant and bar gratuity fee.

Traveling with Kids

This cruise ship offers a kid-friendly environment. Teens can hang out in The Lounge, the teen lounge and dance the night away in the teen-only club. Adventure Ocean youth facility is a play area for kids from 3 to 17, with fun, age-appropriate activities. The ship is also equipped with a water park, which is fun for all ages.
