Pro Tips

Wind:
As Nick Price would say, during the 1998 Shell's Wonderful World of Golf, "keep you hat on tight when you play here!" The various wind conditions in Aruba can challenge golfers of all abilities. Bring your imagination since club selection can prove to be your greatest asset.

Terrain:
Typical desert links terrain - dry, arid and for the most part flat. The fairways are fairly wide for desert links, very forgiving and in excellent condition (Bermuda Grass). The wind is more a factor when negotiating your approach shot to the green.

Hazards:
Include sand bunkers filled with soft white sand, found on Aruba's lush beaches, cacti, coral rock formations and water hazards, which we refer to as Salinas. The bunkers, cacti and coral rock come into play throughout the course. Water comes into play on holes 13, 14 and 15 only.

Green:

Are wide and accommodating. They are Bermuda Tif Dwarf grass. Put very honestly, no hidden breaks, fast and most putts are affected by the wind. Pin placements are fair.
