Less than an hour from the glistening blue waters and sparkling white sand beaches of Jamaica's north shore, lies an enticing nature lover's paradise known as the Cockpit Country.

Rich in history and culture, this region of Jamaica is riddled with towering cliffs, limestone caves, underground rivers and flowing waterfalls. The dense limestone forest, full of hiking trails, is home to exotic plants, birds and reptiles. Many of them are found no where else in the world.

Experienced, professionally trained local guides will assure your safety as you explore the forest and underground world of the Cockpit Country.

Your guide will take you to a lush area of Cockpit Country where you will explore a cool maze-like cave. This cave provides for easy exploration but offers many interesting formations and chambers throughout its mile and a half passage. The guides are experienced. They grew up on the island and will lead you through the narrow channels and across underground rivers for an experience you will never forget.

As you emerge, a little wet and a bit dirty, you can enjoy a cleansing swim in the pools of the Mouth River cascades.

Lunch today is BUSH COOKING! While you are splashing in the water, the scent of Jamaica will work its way over to you, as your meal of traditional Jamaican foods is being prepared. Cooked on an open fire at the location where your tour culminates, you can choose from traditional dishes including ackee and saltfish, curry chicken, stew peas, breadfruit, roast yam, and natural fruit juices. There is something delicious for everyone.
