A great moderate to difficult 7 mile ride for experienced cyclists who are in good shape. This tour offers breathtaking views of Basseterre, the South East Peninsula and St. Kitts' sister island of Nevis, so climb aboard your 21 speed mountain bike, snap on your helmet and follow your guide for an exhilarating ride to the top of Olivees Mountain.

From the assembly point at the cruise pier, you will bike along the Bay Road through the residential area of Fortlands, past the Government House, then go "off-road" at Shadwell Siding. You'll begin the climb through sugar cane field roads to approximately the 800 foot level on Olivees Mountain.

Then take a break from biking with a 25-30 minute walk through the rain forest followed by some well-deserved refreshments.

You've done the hard work getting to the top, now enjoy the fast descent (primarily off-road) back to the cruise pier via the sugar factory, where you will stop for a short visit.

A crash truck follows the tour, carrying a first aid kit, walkie talkies and a cell phone.
