St. Lucia
ST. LUCIA ISLAND TOUR BY LAND AND AIR
$931.00 For up to 4 Persons
We designed this tour for a family of four who were arriving mid-morning by cruise ship. We wanted them to see the beautiful southern area of the island and this combination of transportation will allow them the opportunity within the confines of their limited stay. After realizing success with this adventure, we now offer it on a regular basis. We think of it as a charter, though, as you will book the trip for a specific cost that handles up to 4 travelers. It allows you, though, to adjust the departure time if you would like.
Upon disembarkation from your cruise ship, you
will see your representative waiting to take you on a ride through the
hills and the valleys of one of the most beautiful islands in the
Caribbean. It is a very scenic ride and will be counted as one important
part of your day as you look back in years to come. I say that from my own
experience as I visualize men on bicycles managing huge bottles of water
and propane as they maneuver up and down hills that are reminiscent of the
Amalfi coastline.
There are lovely scenic spots that allow for gorgeous photographs and your
driver will stop along the way as per your request to give you the chance
to capture the sights. The road snakes along the southwest coast and is
appealing for its pretty bays, its rural quality, and picturesque fishing
villages.
As you approach the largest settlement on the
west coast, you will find it in a valley that sits in the shadows of the
famous Pitons, the landmark that marks this island as St. Lucia. Soufriere
is charming and deserves a short tour before heading out to experience
some of island's celebrated features. Just outside of town are the
bubbling Sulphur Springs, with the world's only drive-in volcano. The
Diamond Botanical Gardens with lovely waterfalls and eighteenth-century
mineral baths are well-worth touring
Along the way, your guide may stop to allow you a snack from a local
restaurant or street vendor. This will be at your discretion but we
encourage you to spend as little time as possible eating to avail yourself
to make the most of your day.
Your tour of Soufriere will end at its southernmost point next to one of the massive Pitons, where you will be taken to a helioport to board your helicopter for the return back to Castries.
During this 5 1/2 hour tour, you will see and experience more than most get to do during a whole day tour. The return by helicopter enables you to see the beautiful coastline from above.
