JUNEAU TRAM AND TREK

This trip is really three activities in one. First you will be given a lively motorcoach tour of downtown Juneau. The you'll board the Mt. Roberts Tramway for a climb to the mountain station located 1800 feet above sea level. Your alpine walk will last one hour and will be fully escorted and guided. We'll take you into the temperate rainforest and bring you to exclusive panoramic viewpoints high on the mountain ridges. You will also experience the trail through a sub-alpine meadow. During your walk, you will stop along the way to hear your guide trained in the geological forces, the landscape, and the fascinating history of Juneau.

The trail is about a mile in length with a 200 foot elevation gain. Be prepared as the terrain is very uneven.

After the walk, plan to visit the Mount Roberts Nature Center, with its gift shop, restaurant, naturalist presentations, and interpretive displays.
