 Vancouver

This wonderful tour begins with pickup at your hotel. From there, you'll board a floatplane for a magnificent narrated 30 minute flight to Victoria.

Once you arrive at the dock, if you have not pre-purchased the whale watching tour, you will receive an overview of downtown Victoria, and then have time to explore Victoria on your own. You will be provided with easy-to-follow maps that direct you to the highlights of Victoria, including the Parliament Buildings, the Empress Hotel and Beacon Hill Park.

We highly recommend the 3 hour whale watching tour. With a resident pod of orcas, Victoria is an excellent place for observing whales year round. In addition, Victoria is visited seasonally from June to October by migrating killer whales. A naturalist will be on board to talk with you about these magnificent mammals. This very popular activity fills up quickly. To avoid disappointment, book early!!

All guests will have time to visit the Royal British Columbia Museum. This wonderful place has 2 floors of exhibits to browse, with displays of European influences on Victoria, including logging, mining, fishing and agriculture. You can also visit a turn of the century (that's 20th century) town, experience the Natural History exhibits, First Peoples Gallery and an IMAX Theater.

At a predetermined time, you will meet your guide for the interesting drive to the famous, spectacular Buchart Gardens. This elaborate garden setting offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a relaxing but also stimulating tour of flowering plants all year long. Themed areas of Japanese species, Italian selections, specimens in the Rose Gardens, as well as their collections from all over the world, are bountiful here.

At the end of the tour, you will board a bus, which will drive right onto a ferry for the 1.5 hour cruise back to Vancouver. You will then be returned back to your hotel.
