Kona
AFTERNOON RAFTING AND SNORKELING
ADVENTURE
$75 Per Person
You will find, as we did, that this area is the prettiest part of Kona.
This experience is also the most enjoyable. Your vehicle will be a
comfortable rigid hull inflatable raft, a vessel that has become very
popular for touring. It allows you to travel with smaller groups into
smaller places. To access the caves, these rafts do not have any shade
on board and we suggest that you wear a hat and a good sunscreen, one
without oil. For your convenience, snorkel ladders make your entry and
return from the water very easy.
Expect a fun run along the rugged coastline between Keauhou and
Kealakekua Bays and then enjoy about 1 hour of snorkeling at the Captain
Cook Monument. You do not need to know how to swim or snorkel for this
trip. Flotation vests are available and snorkel instruction is gladly
given. You will also explore sea caves and lava tubes. If you're lucky
you might see some dolphins, an occurrence on over half the tours that
go out. Whales may also be seen during Humpback season from December to
April.
After snorkeling, beverages and tropical snacks are served.
