Windmills & Wonders We arrived in Amsterdam a couple of days early. It was one of the hottest summers in Europe. As well as Soccer cup finals. We had booked the Movenpick hotel which is very convenient to the cruise port & a short tram ride to the city centre. We were able to buy a tram pass at the gift shop next to the hotel. Very quiet location away from the hectic downtown area We ate in the bar one day for a quick lunch but it was very expensive. We found a Cafe near the train station to have breakfast, hotel buffet breakfast was 30+ Euro pp. We boarded the ship around 2-3 pm, had our lunch and just wandered the ship until the cabins were ready We got to unpack before Muster Drill so everything was put away quickly Our room stewardess Sladana came by to introduce herself & see if everything was ok. She is a wonderful girl always cheery. We saw her everyday and she always spoke to us by name and always with a smile. One day I was a little under the weather, she called to make sure I was OK & if I needed anything to call her. We saw a couple of familiar faces in the crew from the Regatta The ship was in the usually good shape no problems there We had a great bunch of Cruise critic members that we met on board and some we did private tours with. All in all the cruise was good. Will we cruise again with O ...heck yes!!!

The food in the GDR was hit or miss with us. Not sure if this is because the menu seemed to be more fancy than in past cruises but we ended up eating more in the Terrace Not my idea of pampering. We had a couple of dishes that were not edible ...we have never had to send back food before so this was disappointing We ate in the Terrace most evening and the food was very good there..unusual from past cruises.

We stayed in an Outside on deck 4 the cabin was fine for us Good location close the disembarkation at the ports, close to GDR We do not mind not having a balcony Lots of storage space Sodas & bottled water were included on this trip which is new for Oceania always water available at the gangway when leaving for excursions

The entertainment was fair to good as usual. We really enjoyed the string quartet, the Magician Steve & Trisha Blake were OK, the clarinetist Wojtek Mrozek & his wife who sang 1 number were very good. The other performers were not too our liking. We are not into trivia & the other games so will not comment

We usually do our own excursions

The weather was extremely hot & humid in most ports we enjoyed Bruges the most
